a learning environment

hair a go-go believes strongly in a commitment to continued education. All staff members providing services go beyond the typical training and licensing requirements for their trade. Before becoming a hair a go-go stylist, our gals and guys go through an intense apprentice program to begin mastery of advanced skills and techniques in cutting and color.

During the program, apprentices focus on continual learning both in the classroom and on the salon floor as they assist stylists with tasks such as shampoos, blow-dries and color application. This practice provides future hair a go-go stylists with hands-on training from the very stylists who make the salon rock. If you get to encounter one of our knowledge-hungry apprentices during your visit, give suggestions as to how you want your hair styled. As our client, you play a vital part in the learning process.

All hair a go-go hair stylists train in a French technique of hair cutting that is blended with English methods. Additionally, owner Elizabeth Tate has developed special methods of cutting for clients who have naturally curly hair. These methods are also part of our ongoing training. Through in-salon classes and hands-on classes with top educators, hair a go-go continues its commitment to education.
